I tested Twile as soon as I learnt it was free. I’ve been looking for something similar to add context to my events.
I was happy to see we could import trees (even from Family Search) and that we could select different packages of historical events. However I was disappointed on how narrow the choice was in terms of World History.
I will keep visiting this website to check upon upgrades and add ons that I’m sure the team is working on.
It also inspired me to have some ideas on how to use Genealogy while teaching / learning History.

Twile looks like an interesting site for sharing family history, especially if one is concerned about privacy.

However it does have the disadvantage currently of being unable to delete a tree once uploaded, nor does there seem to be any way of cancelling one’s registration.

This information is not printed on the Help page, so not great to find that out after one has uploaded a tree and therefore makes it less likely that I will upload another.

The site owners apparently have tree removal on their future ‘to do’ list.

Biggest Pro: Privacy and ease of sharing
Biggest Con: Can’t remove a tree or cancel registration.
