I came across this promising site looking for a good reasonably priced program.I wish I had checked the latest reviews first. The developer is awol, site is defunct. At least as of this writing my bank account is still intact.

Biggest Pro: From early reviews seemed like the better program
Biggest Con: Completely useless

Genealone is very good software that is easy to use but sadly it appears to be defunct. As it stands now, the GEDCOM export feature, which is listed as being in Alpha mode, does not export properly (no one has names and some relationships are lost) so it is necessary to manually re-enter everything when switching to different software.

Biggest Pro: Work well and easy to use
Biggest Con: Defunct so no longer licensable or supported and does not export properly to GEDCOM

I used Genealone as WordPress plugin and was very happy. But it seems that it is no longer maintained. Mails are not answered, and the link to the forum was deleted from the main page (despite it is still there).

Biggest Pro: Clean WordPress Plugin.
Biggest Con: No more updates, no support.

No privacy functions makes this very risky to use.

I have been searching for years for a web based genealogy program with such an easy to use Wordpress plugin.

Biggest Pro: Wordpress plugin, multilingual, almost self-explaining, very good support

The latest version 2.1 extends this programme into a really useful way of displaying your genealogy data. It is available as both standalone and a Wordpress plugin. It is fully responsive and so displays properly on small screen devices. There is now the ability to set a living flag by date criteria which is not usually present in a gedcom file. It is easy to install and then upload your gedcom to. In the admin interface there is an input box to put your own CSS styles in to alter the look and feel if you don’t like the existing styles.

Biggest Pro: Easy to install and configure.
Biggest Con: None
