AncientFaces Review by Curtis Beitans, Mar 19, 2017
Not RatedI use it every day, a great free site, has everything I need to put on, what ever I have found about my ancestors.
AncientFaces Review by E, Sep 8, 2016
I have found that the owners cannot understand simple requests, (or do not seem to have enough
experience, or expertise to use their own website) like correcting incorrect surnames.
So then I joined to try to do those corrections, but was not able to either EDIT/DELETE this incorrect
information, despite their website stating that you could do this.
Their system is way too complicated to do what I consider something simple.
Then all the links to different ancestry type websites which WILL request a fee to see information, and even
then when joining for free for a limited time to ancestry.com, I STILL was not able to simply CORRECT their
mistakes on my own family members.
Biggest Pro: None
Biggest Con: make it way too complicated to do a simple correction to their wrongly sourced information

This website completely changed a profile I painstakingly researched and put together, with this end result being a made up false bio on my ancestor. I tried to contact them with no results.
How can they just fraudulently change and makeup bio’s and thus insult and dishonor the family members that have past on. They should be ashamed of themselves .
Biggest Con: Fraudulent website

The site is free, but sparse information on most people. Really needs more details besides the basic facts. GREAT photos! Found a photo I didn’t know existed of my gggrandma
Biggest Pro: found a photo of a distant relative!
Biggest Con: Needs more information

They give me no data, all they want is for me to fill everything in. and when it says something is available, it goes to a pay site, archieve.com to tell you there is data, but you have to pay for it. It seems like a feeder site for pay sites. They aren’t really providing anything.
Biggest Pro: free, but you get nothing for free
Biggest Con: feeder site to other pay sites where all the real info is.

I was missing my deceased brother and couldn’t remember the year he died. I looked up his name and there was his birth and death date. Also I could leave a message etc. I don’t know how his name got added. I would like to know because I am the last one in the immediate family our parents and brother are deceased. I would like one for each of them.
How would I go about this it is a wonderful tribute and meaningful to me and some place for me to go when I am missing them
Biggest Pro: a place to come to
Biggest Con: no cons

Not free…

Just the teasers are free - not the info they promise. Those are free for a week.
