Love it, and with the latest update, you can see the actual pedigree chart, it’s great.

Biggest Con: portable and you can upload your files when you get home from the genealogy library.

I have been researching for about 8 years now and have been looking for a program that will fit on a Palm or now on my touch. I just downloaded the app and installed rather easily and was able to import my GED without any problems. I was recently in SLC for business and had a bit of time so I thought I would jump in the library for an afternoon. Only drawback is the lack of ability to add new records or to tag records for updating once back at the PC. Hopefully continued enhancements will be developed.

Biggest Pro: Ease of installation
Biggest Con: Need to be able to add records directly, especially when out doing research.

Good application. Yes, I agree it seems like a high price for the functionality. I’m hoping it’ll grow! Something graphical would be nice. Even a way to “surf” up the tree using the multi-touch or accelerometer functionality. It’s great to have so much of my gen. work easily with me!

One more thing: I’d like a fully hierarchical presentation of the family. Why do we have the main couple at the TOP, their parents BELOW them, then the children of the main couple at the bottom? Most displays has the main couple in the middle, their parents above them, the children of the main couple below the main couple. Especially in an unfamiliar area of my family, or others’ families, this would help.

OK, ONE more thing: is there a way to set/reset the home person? That would be great.

OK, ONE FINAL last thing. I’d like to be able to delete the Kennedy family. Np offense… Just don’t need to see them every time I open the app.

Biggest Pro: Presents family links (people, sources) pretty well.
Biggest Con: No input or way to even mark records for later update.

Good stuff, nice and simple, things presented in nice easy viewable and searchable formats, all the information you need for most things at your finger tips.

Biggest Pro: Nice layout, easy to move around.
Biggest Con: View only, no editing.

Outstanding software. Outstanding value. Now I no longer need to carry a third electronic gizmo (company cell, iphone, ipac). It was great having my entire TMG database (all 2700 people and nearly 2000 sources) with me on the last two business trips to Washington DC (the Archives and the DAR Library) and all on the iphone. Program is fully windows xp compatible and does a good job of accurately importing GED 5.5 files which are easy to export from TMG and other common software programs. Nearly all the tags, even custom tags, import into FamViewer. I only experienced one problem, fixed it myself, and got a near real-time response from the designer when I sent an email. Great support too. And all for around 15.00. It just keeps getting better.

Biggest Pro: Full database fits on iphone. Outstanding search engine to quickly locate individuals and thus conserve battery life of phone.
Biggest Con: Not a single one I can think of.

The app is great. I had a problem downloading my ged. file and emailed it to them. Within 15 mins they had fixed my file and sent it back. Can’t get better than that!

Biggest Pro: Support and good programme
